WHAT IS IT?

TAI Dynamics’ Long-Duration Thermoelectric Battery is a Power-to-Heat-to-Power energy storage system designed to store electrical energy in thermal form and deliver it back as usable electrical power when required.The system combines three main units: a heat pump, a thermal battery and a thermoelectric power unit. Instead of storing electricity through electrochemical reactions, the system converts electricity into heat, stores this heat inside a thermal battery, and later converts the stored thermal energy back into electrical output through a controlled power generation process.
