WHAT IS IT?

TAI Dynamics’ Power-to-Heat Thermal Energy Storage solution is designed to convert electrical energy into thermal energy, store it inside a thermal battery, and deliver it later as useful heat for industrial, commercial and renewable energy applications.

The system enables electricity to be stored in the form of heat rather than in electrochemical batteries. During the charging phase, electrical energy is converted into thermal energy through a thermal charging unit. This heat is transferred into the thermal battery and stored in a controlled storage medium. When heat is required, the stored thermal energy is discharged to the process, heating system or thermal load through an engineered heat transfer circuit.
